For years, people would say to me, “Do you know Megan? You all would really love each other!”  My answer always the same…”No, but I hear that a lot!”

Then, finally that day came.  We were already chatting and enjoying every second of it, when we realized…”WAIT…ARE YOU…???”   Yes, it was all that and then some.

So, you can imagine my excitement when it came time for her wedding.  Y’all…this girl knows design…and we love allllllll the same things.  That’s why I can truly and honestly say, this wedding was one of my all time faves.  If I had to do my wedding over, I would totally copy Megan on just about everything.  All this to say, there was no way I could skimp on these pictures, so just know there’s gonna be a ton from this one!

They started their day off at the sweetest spots – Tripp’s grandmother’s house.  Megan and her bridesmaids spent the day getting ready in a super cool airstream, while Tripp and his fellas stayed down in the basement playing pool, and outside playing football.  They used his grandmother’s backyard to create an intimate ceremony spot, under a couple trees, that backed up to a golf course.

One thing I loved about working with Megan, was that she trusted me.  She knew that I understood her vision for her big day, and she knew that I would be able to set everything up in a way that represented how she wanted it to feel.  She and Tripp had spent the months prior designing and gathering all of their decor for the wedding, but on the day of, she let me put out and design as I saw fit.  She absolutely could have done it herself…she does it for other people all the time!  But, instead of hovering and fretting…she allowed herself to be the bride.  And, it was so much fun to watch.

THAT’S NOT ALL, FOLKS.   So, then, when you thought it couldn’t get any more beautiful…for the reception, the party continued on the back patio of Carmel Country Club.  The bistro lights, delicious food stations, outdoor sectionals and fire pits, root beer floats, along with one of my favorite bands, made everything about the evening so much fun.  Not to mention the perfect temperature, and a gorgeous sunset.  It was a blast.

Oh…and did I mention, that they walked over from The Elam’s backyard, and it looks like they just happened upon a beautiful dessert for their sweetheart session!!

This wedding was such a gift to be able to witness.  Their love for God, their families and friends, and each other was evident through every detail of their amazing day.  And, it was such a blessing to be a small piece of the celebration.

All of these amazing pictures are from the oh so talented Caroline Fontenot.  She did a fabulous job capturing the style, fun, and beauty of Megan and Tripp’s big day!  Additional vendors from this wedding (all of which were completely wonderful) are as follows:
